The GID Book Club is nearing completion of its second book regarding climate change. Thanks to feedback from the Book Club, GID now offers water bottle refills at meetings, and is hoping to offer recycling at protest events.

Our goal is to keep the GID membership updated on issues within various local and county groups that impact our community. Committee members, as their schedules permit, attend meetings of the Galveston City Council, Galveston County Commissioners, Galveston Independent School District, Galveston Parks Board, and Galveston Wharves Board.
