Mission Statement
The mission of Galveston Island Democrats (GID) is to unite and activate current and potential Democrats who support the principles and candidates of the Democratic Party. The Galveston Island Democrats will continue working to make our community more just, inclusive and sustainable.
Our Goals
Galveston Island Democrats goals for 2026 are to connect and engage with Democrats on the Island and in the county, promote voter registration, participate in outreach opportunities with local nonprofits, and prepare our members through various trainings for the 2026 elections.
With Special Emphasis on:
Increasing the voter turnout.
Electing Democratic candidates to Local, State, and Federal offices
