DESCRIPTION:The annual Juneteenth Parade and Picnic will be held on Thursday June 19th.\nCome out and represent Galveston Island Democrats.\nEvent Flow\n\n \n\n\n2:00pm Parade Lineup at 26th and Ball – need help decorating golf carts\n\n\n3:00pm Parade begins and goes to Wright Cuney Park\n\n\nPicnic follows parade at Wright Cuney Park @ 40th and Ball\n\n\nBring your lawn chair and non-alcoholic drink\n\n\nOrder a KFC chicken meal* for the picnic. (or you may provide something for yourself)\n\n\nLemonade\, chips and cookies will be provided.\n\n\n*KFC chicken meals must be purchased no later than 6/16/25 using this Act Blue link:\nhttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/gid-juneteenth2025\n\n\n\nWith our larger attendance\, we are getting better organized – and we need more help!\n\n\nWe need to know by Thursday\, June 12 if you can provide a golf cart for the Juneteenth Parade on June 19.\n\n\nWe need to know no later than Sunday\,  June 15  if you plan to decorate golf carts and march or ride in a golf carts in the Juneteenth Parade on June 19.\n\n\nEveryone who participates in the parade needs to arrive by 2 pm on June 19 at 26th and Ball.\n\n\nClick here to rsvp and signup to provide a golf cart or participate in the Parade:\nhttps://signup.com/go/uQLKDws\n\nIf you have further questions\, contact Conni Rivers\, riversgalveston@gmail.com\, 919-294-6703
