It portrays the conflict between veteran journalist Edward R. Murrow and U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin\, especially relating to the anti-communist Senator’s actions with the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. It focuses on the theme of media responsibility and addresses what occurs when U.S. journalism offers voices of dissent from government policy. The movie takes its title from the line with which Murrow routinely signed off his broadcasts. \n  \nNOTE: Please arrive at 3:15 to line up outside the auditorium\, with the film beginning PROMPTLY at 3:30 pm. Together\, participants will stand as a living tribute to resilience\, remembrance\, and community pride. \nIf you wish to participate\, meet at the Great Storm Statue\, 4700 Seawall\, by 8:45 a.m. Wear your GID t-shirt/cap or a blue shirt. The schedule is as follows \n\n8:45 a.m. –  Line-up along the Seawall (or come early and enjoy the da\n9:00 a.m. – Photo opportunity and drone flyover\n9:30 a.m. – Ceremony at the Great Storm Statue with remarks by the Mayor and other community leaders.\n\nAll ages are welcome. Event will take place rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Parking along Seawall is free until 10:00 a.m.

DESCRIPTION:Public Open House\nAugust 13\, 2025\n4 to 6 pm\nCruise Terminal 28 (approximately Harborside and 28th Street) \n  \nA Strategic Master Plan was adopted by the Galveston Wharves Board in 2019. The plan included two new terminals\, an internal roadway\, expansion of the West Port Cargo Complex\, and industrial development on Pelican Island. A major portion of the 2019 is ahead of schedule so the authors of the original plan were retained to conduct extensive research and market forecasts to make recommendations for the next 20 years. \n  \nThe Public Open House on August 13 will allow the consultants to share their findings\, answer questions\, and collect public comments.
