DESCRIPTION:Juneteenth in Galveston\n  \nIn lieu of organizing a “No Kings” Protest on Saturday\, June 14\, Galveston Island Democrats (GID) will be supporting and participating in Juneteenth events as our city celebrates the 160th anniversary of the birth of freedom.  Juneteenth originated in Galveston\, and we believe it is important to recognize\, support\, and celebrate this event. \nSaturday\, June 14 \nFestival & Celebration\, from 1-8pm at McGuire Dent Rec Ctr\, 2222 28th St \nVendor tent – selling t-shirts\, drinks\, and promoting our club!
